"Ron was embarrassing and needs to regroup or call it a wrap. Most of us don't have $200+ to waste on a night, although it was entertaining to some. The other comedians (Faizon Love, Michael Blackson, and the local cell phone commercial guy / comedian) were all good. Ron seemed as if he didn't have any idea what material he was going to use for the night. There were alot of jokes that didn't have a punchline or meaning. Just mindless babble. The crowd became restless and the heckling started. Ron proceeded to cuss and yell and call people down to the front. Well, now Ron has 3 unhappy fans standing right in front of him. This rediculous argument last for probably a 1/2 hour and became the focal point of the rest of the show. There are youtube videos of Ron "wanting to fight" a heckler for booing. He never had a really funny moment and the show was just about done after that. He stayed on for probably another hour or so, but I couldn't take anymore after about 30 minutes. Truly sad and unentertaining for the headliner. The venue was 3/4 empty while Ron was on stage. The majority got up and left when he said he would give his "real remaining fans" some extra time. I read all the previous negative reviews and thought that Ron would put on a good show for his home town. That was not the case. I wouldn't go to another Ron Pope show until I was sure that he was ready to perform. Times are hard enough. Do your homework before you spend the money, but it might end up being interesting none the less."
